- Many struggle to put food on the table. Thousands simply go without.
Sutton Food Bank is working to alleviate poverty and feed people in crisis in the London Borough of Sutton.
What is a foodbank?
A foodbank gives boxes of nutritionally balanced food and support to people experiencing emotional or financial crisis.
What's in a foodbox?
Foodboxes contain 3 days worth of non-perishable food. Our foodboxes meet nutritional requirements and contain menu planners to help people to make healthy meals.
Typical content of a foodbox:
- Tinned vegetables
- Tinned meat
- Tinned fish
- Tinned fruit
- Orange Juice
- UHT milk
- Sugar
- Tea/Coffee
- Cereal
- Sauces e.g. Ragu
- Pasta
- Rice
- Packet mash
- Rice Pudding
